Block Any Funding for a White House Ballroom

To: Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis, Rep. Maloy

From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

May 17

Do not allocate a single dollar for a ballroom at the White House. This is not a legitimate use of public funds, and I expect you to oppose any such appropriation, amendment, or budget line that would make it possible. The White House belongs to the American people, not to whoever happens to occupy it. Spending taxpayer money on a luxury entertainment venue there is indefensible when constituents in this district are dealing with real costs in housing, healthcare, and basic infrastructure. Vote no, and make clear publicly why you did.
