You need to lead action in Sacramento to ensure that former women's prison, FCI Dublin, in Alameda County is designated as permanently closed. It is intended to be transferred to the Federal Government to be used as an immigration detention center. Once the Bureau of Prisons transfers FCI Dublin to the agency that manages federal property, the vacant correctional facility can be handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which is searching for detention space in Northern California. I have already written my representatives at the Federal Level and left a public comment for the Bureau of Prisons - but it is going to take STATE ACTION to help ensure this. Please take action now.
