Write I am writing in hopes that California will join other states in defying RFK Jr's latest assault on vaccines. Currently, one in 56 people have active COVID in the US. California is a hotbed of COVID infection right now. California is a state with strong traditions of supporting science and public health. As a resident, I urge my elected officials to do what we in California know is the right and sane thing and reject RFK Jr's absurd and dangerous updated guidelines. These guidelines restrict vaccines to people under 65, including children and pregnant women. COVID is known to increase the risk of stillbirth. It is also a known cause of vascular, cardiac, and renal damage. Please continue California's tradition of respecting and abiding by science by fighting back against these backward and dangerous vaccine restrictions.
