HHS should promote good science, not quackery

To: Sen. Graham, Rep. Wilson, Sen. Scott

HHS Secretary Kennedy is promising to determine the cause of autism by fall of 2024. To do so, hired David Geier, “a man who has repeatedly claimed a link between vaccines and autism” and “who the state of Maryland found was practicing medicine on a child without a doctor’s license.” In addition, leading autism advocacy and research organizations are currently not involved in this effort. This is not science! Peddling these types of debunked conspiracy theories will further erode America’s faith in our doctors and scientists. This is another example of how President Trump’s dangerous and extreme cabinet secretaries are making America less safe and secure. Kennedy should have been opposed as HHS secretary. Now, at the very least, he should testify before Congress and answer to the American people for his extreme behavior and policies.
