The Democratic Party does not need another round of excuses, political calculations, or recycled establishment leadership. It needs a fundamental change in direction.
I am calling on Nevada’s congressional delegation to reject Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries for Democratic leadership and support Bernie Sanders for Senate Democratic Leader and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for House Democratic Leader.
The continued influence of AIPAC, the prioritization of Israel’s interests in American foreign policy, and the unwillingness of Democratic leadership to confront the political power of major donors have severely undermined confidence in the party.
The 2026 midterm elections should serve as a wake-up call. Democratic leadership cannot continue dismissing voter frustration over its complicity in U.S. support for Israel’s actions in Gaza, the influence of wealthy donors, and its failure to represent the priorities of working Americans.
Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez represent the independent, grassroots-oriented leadership this party urgently needs. Their willingness to challenge corporate influence, demand accountability, and confront entrenched political power offers a meaningful alternative to the status quo.
I demand that Nevada’s Democratic delegation:
Oppose Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries in their respective leadership elections.
Support Bernie Sanders for Senate Democratic Leader and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for House Democratic Leader, or a progressive candidate of the like.
Reject AIPAC’s influence over Democratic leadership decisions and demand transparency surrounding its political spending.
Prioritize American constituents, human rights, and constitutional obligations over political donors and unconditional support for the Israeli government.
Publicly disclose whom you intend to support in the upcoming Democratic leadership elections.
This is not a request for another carefully worded statement about unity.
Unity without accountability is not leadership.
Constituents are paying attention and will expect a direct response stating whether you will support a change to more progressive leadership, and if not, why.
The time for defending the status quo has passed.
