Hi, I'm a constituent fron 73160. I understand that Rep. Nancy Mace introduced a bill to keep transgender women (https://ctrk.klclick.com/l/01JD3ERY70N8MBBFTD4NXXA7AW_13) from using the Capitol Hill bathrooms. It’s aimed, of course, at Sarah McBride, who will be the first transgender member of Congress. Watching grown adults bully a transgender lawmaker is repugnant. If the Republicans supporting this bill really cared about “protecting women and girls,” as they claim, they’d be condemning the nomination of several known sexual assaulters to Trump’s cabinet, including but not limited to Pete Hegseth, RFK Jr., and until recently Matt Gaetz. No, this is just performative cruelty because Republicans can’t govern and have no policy solutions to offer. Shame on them and on any Congressmember who supports this bill. Thanks.
