I'm writing in strong opposition to Rep. Brian Mast’s Passport Inte irs Committee’s State Department Reauthorization Bill. grity and National Security Act, embedded in the House Foreign Affa ncy, or judicial oversight. This provision would allow the government to revoke U.S. passports based on vague, unspecified criteria—without due process, transpare ech or affiliations it disfavors. This is not a security measure. It is a dangerous step toward authoritarian control, enabling the government to trap citizens within U.S. borders for spe The bill lacks meaningful guardrails and opens the door to politica lly motivated travel bans—echoing tactics used by totalitarian regi mes like North Korea. Freedom of movement is a fundamental right. The ability to leave on e’s country should never hinge on opaque bureaucratic discretion. I urge you to reject this provision and any legislation that undermines civil liberties under the guise of national security. Please stand against this erosion of constitutional rights. Vote NO on the Passport Integrity and National Security Act.
