Emil Bove is one of the worst judicial nominees ever put forth by a president. He clearly was chosen primarily due to his loyalty to Donald Trump, which is bad enough, but he comes with an array of other issues as a nominee to a federal court of appeals. He has engaged in weaponization of the US Justice Department against Trump’s perceived enemies, ordered firings of January 6 prosecutors, threatened FBI purges, and engaged in a quid pro quo with New York City’s corrupt mayor, Eric Adams, wherein charges were paused against Adams in exchange for Adams’s cooperation with the administration’s immigration efforts. Several attorneys resigned over this corrupt deal between Adams and Bove. Perhaps most offensive, Bove has been a vocal proponent of the idea that the administration should defy court orders, particularly ones related to deportations. Bove was evasive during his confirmation hearing, and ridiculously responded that he did not recall outrageous comments others claim he made. Bove is dangerous, unethical, and has no respect for the rule of law. He is astoundingly unqualified. You must vote NO on his confirmation.
