An Open Letter

To: Sen. Budd, Sen. Tillis, Rep. Ross

From: A constituent in Raleigh, NC

February 18

The Trump Administration has made it very clear that they intend to turn the United States into a white Christian Nationalist Nation. The majority of Americans do not embrace white nationalism. What Trump and his administration want is the complete opposite of what the United States has always stood for. We are a nation of immigrants and that is a fact. Clearly, the administration has embraced fascism. We are not a fascist country. The American people do not want to become a fascist country. I would like for my Republican senators to tell their constituents why they are supporting racism and fascism. How do you think that becoming a fascist country will make our country better? How is alienating our allies in Europe and elsewhere in the world making our country better? How is putting concentration camps in the United States making us a better country? The people in the United States do not want to become Hungary or Russia or N Korea. We do not like it support the position that the United States is currently taking. I expect a response telling me how you think Trump is making our country better and why you are supporting racism and fascism and becoming a White Christian Nationalist Nation.
