Sign onto the War Powers resolution, say no to endless middle east wars

To: Rep. Menendez, Sen. Booker, Sen. Kim

From: A constituent in Jersey City, NJ

June 18

I’m writing because I’m very concerned about what’s happening with Iran – and that the president is acting as if he has the power to declare war on his own. The Constitution reserves war powers for Congress. I’m asking you to sign onto the War Powers resolutions moving through both chambers of Congress demanding that Trump seek congressional approval before going to war with Iran. These efforts could be the difference between diplomacy and disaster. I do not want another endless war in the middle east. I do not want to spend trillions of dollars assisting in the murder and displacement of millions of people. I do not want to spend a dime on terrorizing the rest of the world when we have people starving to death at home. Thanks.
