An Open Letter

To: Sen. Risch, Rep. Simpson, Sen. Crapo

From: A verified voter in Victor, ID

February 14

The right to freedom of religion is a fundamental American value enshrined in the First Amendment. It guarantees that individuals have the ability to practice their faith without interference from the government. When a member of the clergy is invited to offer a prayer or remarks, they should be free to do so in accordance with their religious traditions. Attempting to dictate or censor the content of such speech would infringe on this core constitutional protection. We must safeguard the freedom of religion for all Americans, allowing diverse voices and beliefs to be expressed openly in the public square.
