What's happening here is not a financial benefit — it's a surveillance apparatus being built around American children from the moment they're born, without meaningful consent from their parents. The Social Security Administration is quietly modifying the hospital birth registration form so that a Trump Account is automatically created alongside a child's Social Security number through the Enumeration at Birth program. Parents who want their child to have a Social Security number reportedly cannot opt out — the two are bundled into a single checkbox. That directly contradicts what the IRS and U.S. Treasury have publicly stated, which is that these accounts only open when a parent actively chooses to create one. The accounts also collect biometric data. This administration is lying about what it's doing while locking families into a financial surveillance system before they even leave the hospital. This is not governance. It's a data grab, and the fact that the program expires in two years — right before the 2028 election — tells you everything about the intent.
