Approve Covid-19 booster to be ready by early Fall 2025!

To: Sen. Warner, Rep. Vindman, Sen. Kaine

May 2

As a constituent residing in Virginia and a chronically ill patient, I am writing to express my deep concern over recent statements made by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. regarding his stated intention to "slow walk" the approval and distribution of the fall COVID-19 booster. For individuals like me—who live with serious, ongoing health conditions—access to timely and updated vaccinations is not a matter of convenience or politics; it is a matter of life and death. The updated boosters are critical in protecting immunocompromised and high-risk individuals from emerging variants and ongoing surges. Any delay, obstruction, or politicization of the FDA's approval process poses a direct threat to my health and the health of millions of other vulnerable Americans. I urge you to do everything within your power to support the independence and integrity of our public health institutions, defend science-based decision-making, and ensure the timely availability of updated COVID-19 vaccines. Americans should not be subjected to increased risk due to politically motivated interference in lifesaving medical processes. Please stand up for your immunocompromised and chronically ill constituents. We are relying on you to defend our access to the preventive care that helps keep us alive. Thank you for your service and your attention to this urgent matter.
