You cannot abide a leader who declares his own constituents enemies of the state
To: Sen. Booker, Rep. Kean, Sen. Kim
From: A verified voter in Budd Lake, NJ
March 23
A sitting president has just labeled his own constituents “the number one enemy of the state.” That is not rhetoric—it is authoritarian incitement.
Donald Trump is not targeting a foreign adversary. He is targeting Americans. Your constituents. Your colleagues. Anyone who opposes him. History is unambiguous about where this language leads: it dehumanizes, it radicalizes, and it gives implicit permission for violence. When political opposition is reframed as treason, retaliation becomes, in the minds of the unstable and the loyalist, justified.
You are not witnessing hyperbole. You are witnessing the erosion of democratic norms in real time.
Silence is not neutrality here—it is endorsement. Every moment you fail to condemn this, you legitimize it. Every delay increases the risk that words become action.
Your duty is not to a man. It is to the Constitution and to the people he is now openly vilifying.
Act accordingly.
