Block arms sale to Israel, demand ceasefire, aid Gaza
To: Rep. Tran
From: A constituent in Brea, CA
April 4
The systematic targeting of civilians, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and use of indiscriminate force resulting in widespread civilian casualties in Gaza is a grave violation of international law and fundamental human rights. The evidence clearly shows that American-made weapons have enabled these actions, which may constitute war crimes. It is unconscionable for the United States to provide further offensive arms and munitions that will be used against Palestinian civilians. This longstanding complicity in immense human suffering undermines America's credibility and moral standing. Congress must uphold the law, block the proposed $8.8 billion arms sale to Israel, demand an immediate ceasefire, and insist on facilitating humanitarian aid to alleviate the catastrophic conditions in Gaza. Further arms transfers would only enable more devastation and loss of innocent life.
