Study up on the Department of Education
To: Sen. Budd
From: A constituent in Charlotte, NC
March 14
Mr. Budd: You recently sent a form response to my email about supporting the existence of the Department of Education.
I disagree with literally everything in it. Spending less on education and refusing to support students with special needs -- which is what the Department of Education does -- is a ridiculous way to improve student outcomes.
The Department of Education does not dictate or enforce curriculum, so your information is also factually incorrect.
Do not deign to tell me what should be unacceptable to me as a parent. As your constituent it is my duty to tell YOU, and YOUR DUTY to listen. Which you are clearly unwilling to do. It feels like the absolute minimum for you to have your facts straight before you make decisions on behalf of your constituents. Do some reading.
