I am a Federal Employee who will be negatively impacted if the Government shuts down on October 1. However, I urge you not to vote for a budget that includes the horrendous cuts to healthcare and SNAP benefits. Do not trust that the Republicans will ‘fix it later’. They have proven that they are not honest brokers, and will not keep their word. Demand that any concessions be included in the budget now, and not at some later time. If they do not reverse the healthcare and food support cuts, then do not vote for it. Make the Republicans pass the budget alone, and make them own the cruelty they are attempting to codify.
