I hear that Congress is once again voting on funding DHS. Thank you for working to fund DHS. Please fund DHS WITHOUT the SAVE America Act. The SAVE Act is unpopular and harmful to many people who would bear the burden of proving their citizenship. The SAVE Act is unnecessary since the rate of non-citizen voting in this country is extremely rare. Why cause hardship for those who have changed their names at any point in their lives? Also, any issues not related directly to DHS funding need to be removed, notably transgender issues. It's not fair to attach these hurtful actions to a book to find DHS and then cast blame on anyone for not supporting the bill.
