I urge against cutting Medicaid funding. Medicaid provides vital healthcare coverage for over 70 million low-income Americans, including children, pregnant women, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Instead of cuts, we should explore ways to strengthen and improve the Medicaid program to ensure affordable, quality healthcare remains accessible to all who need it, regardless of their financial circumstances. Investing in preventative care and community-based support can ultimately reduce long-term costs while promoting better health outcomes. A strong Medicaid system is crucial for a healthier, more equitable society.
