Yet another protester was shot in Minneapolis today while filming ICE agents. We have the constitutional right to film law enforcement in this country. ICE is doing everything in their power to hide their identity and their actions. This is because their brutal crackdown on immigrants and protesters is as morally reprehensible as it is illegal. Since when do we have secret police in America? Since when do we allow violence against our citizens exercising their constitutional rights? The parallels between this administration's rhetoric and the actions of ICE with Nazi Germany should shock the conscience of this country. It's time for Congress to put your foot down and uphold the laws you swore to uphold. No funding should be approved for ICE until they have been held fully accountable for their actions. Multiple court cases have shown ICE is using unnecessarily brutal tactics and then lying to the American people and to the courts about their actions. This must stop now.
