Do not allow TPS to be taken from Hatians and Syrians.

To: Rep. Wilson, Sen. Scott, Sen. Graham

June 28

The Supreme Court just ruled that the Administration may deport people to Haiti and Syria—two countries with Level 4 Travel Advisories. According to the US State Department, Haiti is plagued by kidnapping, crime, terrorist activity, civil unrest, and limited health care. Syria is riddled with terrorism, unrest, kidnapping, hostage taking, crime, and armed conflict. Both countries face precisely the conditions that TPS was designed to address, offering people a temporary safe harbor in America until their home countries are safe. The Administration’s reversals violate both the intent of the law and core American values. Will Congress hold the line, and extend TPS for Haitians and Syrians? Do not allow these people to lose TPS and face deportation en mass, just to satisfy a white nationalis agenda. Only 4% - 8% of adults in America actively support a white nationalist agenda. Removing TPS is not a popular policy choice. It's time to vocally stand against it. After all, you are in Congress to represent the will of the people.
