No ai data centers

To: Sen. Saldaña, Rep. Santos, Gov. Ferguson, Rep. Street

From: A constituent in Seattle, WA

April 26

**Block New AI Data Centers in Washington State and Nationwide** I'm asking you to impose a moratorium on new AI data center construction in Washington state and across the country. These massive facilities consume extraordinary amounts of electricity and water while driving up costs for residents who are already struggling with high energy bills. AI data centers threaten grid stability and increase emissions at a time when we should be reducing our carbon footprint. Many proposals operate under nondisclosure agreements, leaving communities in the dark about which companies are building, where they plan to locate, and what their actual resource demands will be. Washington residents and Americans nationwide shouldn't subsidize corporate AI infrastructure. Block new AI data center construction until we have transparency and real answers about their impact.
