I’m a member of Indivisible Westside Los Angeles and a constituent from Santa Monica I’m reaching out to plead for your urgent attention to the assault on public health by the regime in DC. RFK Jr. has replaced the expert members of the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee with amateurs and anti-vaxx conspiracy theorists. Health insurers may soon stop covering common and critical vaccines due to a lack of responsible federal guidance. Please do everything possible to pass legislation THIS SESSION to require insurers to cover vaccines per the recommendations of a reliable independent panel, such as the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota. I’m not aware of any legislation already introduced to accomplish this, so I’m asking you to do so. The health of millions of Californians depends on it, and it cannot wait. I also urge you to support two bills to rein in federal secret police, bounty hunters, and common criminals preying on California’s immigrant community. Please give your full public support to SB 527, the No Secret Police Act, and SB 805, the No Vigilantes Act. Los Angeles in particular is experiencing a reign of terror from brutal masked thugs whose identities are hidden, and whose status as actual law enforcement officers is murky. It must stop.
