Reject dangerous politicization of national security roles

The proposed loyalty tests and removals of non-political national security staff are concerning from both an ethical and national security standpoint. Clearing out experienced national security professionals and replacing them solely based on political allegiance to one agenda risks undermining the nation's security, which should be above partisan politics. Career civil servants play a vital role in ensuring continuity, expertise, and objective analysis across administrations. Purging them in favor of partisan loyalists threatens to politicize national security decision-making in a dangerous way. These proposals from Rep. Mike Waltz seem aimed more at consolidating power than serving the national interest. Demanding absolute fealty and enforcing an "America First" political agenda over all else is contrary to the principles of public service and good governance. It breeds an echo chamber insulated from dissenting views rather than an environment conducive to sound policymaking based on facts and diverse perspectives. The American people deserve public servants who will uphold the Constitution and national security over any single politician's agenda. I urge you to forcefully oppose and denounce any efforts to implement partisan loyalty tests or remove career professionals from national security roles based solely on their perceived political leanings. American interests will be best served by retaining experienced, non-partisan experts dedicated to the nation's security, not partisan agendas. Stand firmly against any attempts to dangerously politicize national security for the sake of power and control.
