Before the 2026 midterms, I want a clear public answer from you: will you commit to an Economic Bill of Rights? Not a vague statement of values — a real commitment to the eight rights Roosevelt outlined in his 1944 Second Bill of Rights speech: a meaningful job, a living wage, fair competition for businesses, decent housing, medical care, a good education, economic security in old age and illness, and freedom from unfair monopolistic practices. Roosevelt said it plainly: "True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence." That was 1944. We are still waiting. These are not radical ideas. They are the foundation of a functioning society, and Jefferson, Paine, and King all affirmed as much in their own ways. What is remarkable is that in the wealthiest nation on earth, none of them are guaranteed. Your answer — yes or no — will be published so voters can hold you accountable before they cast their ballots. I am not asking you to endorse every policy detail. I am asking you to go on record. Where do you stand?
