No money for capitol rioters
To: Rep. Baumgartner
From: A constituent in Spokane Valley, WA
May 20
The Trump administration has announced the creation of a so-called "anti-weaponization fund". This is apparently intended for the corrupt purpose of giving taxpayer money to Trump loyalists, such as the 2020 election fraudsters and capitol rioters. Will the president even go so far as to award himself money from it?
This fund was created by the administration's "justice department" without congressional or judicial oversight. The amount of money dedicated to the fund is clearly arbitrary, and nothing appears to prevent the administration from refilling it or creating similarly corrupt funds in the future.
The constitution gives congress the power to tax and spend, not the president. Taxpayer money should be spent for the good of the whole country, not to enrich the president or his supporters.
I ask you to stand up for Eastern Washington taxpayers and oppose this corrupt fund.
