An Open Letter

To: Sen. Booker, Sen. Kim, Rep. Smith

From: A verified voter in Middletown, NJ

March 11

Dear Microplastics are being found in human lungs, blood, and even the placenta. While the health impacts are deeply concerning—ranging from immune issues to developmental harm—the EPA does not yet require nationwide monitoring of these particles in our drinking water. Health and public health workers are calling on the EPA to include microplastics in the agency’s upcoming cycle of monitoring for unregulated contaminants in drinking water. This would finally give us the data we need to better help protect our communities. I’m standing with these experts to demand transparency. Will you add your name to this letter to the EPA? https://fwaction.us/4rkn2kL
