An Open Letter
To: Justices Court
From: A constituent in Bellingham, WA
March 2
I am writing as a citizen who is beyond frustrated with the appearance of selective accountability in this country — especially when it comes to crimes against children.
Protecting children is not partisan. It is not ideological. It is not optional. It is a moral baseline.
If credible evidence exists against any public official, corporate leader, celebrity, or private citizen for crimes involving the exploitation or abuse of children, then investigate them. Charge them. Prosecute them. Convict them if the evidence proves guilt. Sentence them appropriately.
No exceptions for wealth.
No exceptions for political power.
No exceptions for fame.
No backroom protections.
No selective outrage.
Equal justice under the law must mean exactly that — for everyone.
When powerful individuals appear insulated from investigation or prosecution, public trust erodes. When accountability seems selective, confidence in institutions collapses. That collapse harms victims, discourages reporting, and emboldens offenders.
The American people deserve transparency in how child exploitation cases are investigated and prosecuted. We deserve to know that evidence is followed wherever it leads — regardless of party, influence, or status.
Protecting children should be the most basic duty of any justice system. Anything less is unacceptable.
I expect leadership that demonstrates courage, impartiality, and an unwavering commitment to equal enforcement under the law.
