I am sending a response to inform you that you FAILED at your attempt to respond in an email yesterday. I emailed about ICE – your response, in part was, “It has always been my position that enforcing the laws already on the books and ensuring our Border Patrol agents have the tools they need to do their jobs is essential to maintaining U.S. national security. To achieve this, we must continue building on strong border policies that prioritize safety and the rule of law.” True, enforce laws on the books, I concur. However, what I asked about whether you support and approve of the TACTICS being used by ICE/BP and others who are put in some sort of uniform and terrorizing the public. They have no identification, drive unmarked vehicles, travel in “packs”, point loaded weapons and kill citizens, spray chemical agents at peaceful protesters and wear masks – likely because they are really cowards who don’t want to be identified for their abhorrent actions. I ask what you planned to do about this excessive use of force and the fact there has been little to no accountability. They are detaining CITIZENS and you seem oblivious to this fact. I want a real answer – is this acceptable to you and if so, I want to know. If not, what ARE you doing about it? Would you want a citizen in your family to be treated this way? BTW – enforcing laws “already on the books” also pertains to release of the Epstein files – right?
