I am writing with the utmost urgency to ensure you do everything in your power to prevent the Trump Administration from ceding Yosemite National Park land to private developers. Our national parks are a sacrosanct blessing and responsibility passed from one generation of Americans to the next. To privatise that covenant would mean the defilement of our nation’s most treasured natural beauty. Such an action is beneath even the lowest of standards to which we should hold ourselves as a country. The Trump Administration should be ashamed that it has even contemplated this arrangement, and should be stopped immediately from continuing to barter with the assets of the American public to the Administration’s sole advantage. I urge you to do EVERYTHING in your power to protect Yosemite and to enshrine our national parks as not—and never—for sale.
