Scrutinize Kennedy nomination, protect public health and lives

To: Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine, Rep. McGuire

From: A constituent in Manakin Sabot, VA

January 26

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s nomination as Secretary of Health and Human Services raises significant concerns that must be addressed before his confirmation. His controversial views on vaccines and promotion of anti-vaccine misinformation during disease outbreaks are alarming and contradict established scientific evidence. Public health policies under his leadership could endanger lives by undermining confidence in life-saving immunizations. Additionally, Kennedy's past stance in favor of abortion rights clashes with the administration's pro-life agenda. While he has claimed to align with the President's views, his appointment risks undermining efforts to protect the unborn. Lawmakers must also scrutinize his proposed agriculture reforms, as they could adversely impact the farming industry without sufficient evidence. For these reasons, I urge you to oppose Kennedy's confirmation until he provides clear and satisfactory assurances that he will uphold evidence-based policies, respect the sanctity of life, and prioritize the well-being of all Americans without endangering vital sectors of our economy. The Secretary of Health and Human Services plays a pivotal role, and Kennedy's suitability for this position warrants rigorous examination.
