I am deeply concerned by the deportations of individuals to the El Salvadoran prison camp without ANY DUE PROCESS. As has already been demonstrated, some individuals have been mistakenly been sent to the camp, and now it seems as if we have no power to correct this? While the congress may not have the authority to return those individuals, it does have a responsibility to conduct oversight of government actions to ensure the constitution is being followed. It is blatantly obvious that due process, as provided under the 14th amendment, is not been provided to these deportees. While the administration blatantly ignores the rule of law and the instructions of the highest court in the land, what are you doing to uphold and protect the constitution in this matter? Stop being a partisan politician, and start doing your job to protect individual rights. Congress has the power of the purse, if nothing else. We're sending American tax dollars to pay for these people to be illegally held. Cut the money off. DO SOMETHING. It is your constitutional obligation.
