I see you Kaine voted for Kristi Noem who was confirmed 59-34-7. Yay votes included 7 Dems: Fetterman (PA), Kaine (VA), Kim (NJ), Peters (MI), Shaheen (NH), Hassan (NH), Slotkin (MI). That is a disgrace! The responsibility for her confirmation is also yours and I ask what concrete action you will lead to sanction Noem - who outright lied in the communique DHS just put out. Why did a good Dem vote to confirm a Republican?. I’m a constituent who votes in fairfax county . I’m outraged by the way Senator Alex Padilla was treated in California today. This isn’t just about disrespecting one senator. This is about silencing an elected representative, undermining freedom of speech, and violating the rights of millions of Americans. I am asking you to: 1. Speak out publicly and forcefully against what happened. 2. Defend the rights of every American to be represented and heard. 3. Protect the integrity of our democratic institutions and uphold the freedom of speech that is core to our democracy. Silence is complicity. I expect you to act immediately.
