I’m writing with extreme concerns regarding the reporting about a “butterfly” zone in the Dilley Detention Center in Texas that is reportedly a holding area specifically for minor girls. Provide the checks, balances, and oversight that you were elected to provide and that are necessary to keep people safe, especially women and children, while we have them detained. Everything I’ve heard about Dilley is horrific and inhumane. If any of it is true, this facility must be shut down!
