CCBHCs are necessary for healthy communities and improved mental health in OK
To: Rep. Jenkins, Gov. Stitt, Sen. Hall

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) are crucial for improving the lives of Oklahomans struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. As a provider, I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact CCBHCs have on our communities. They increase access to comprehensive, integrated care, employing evidence-based practices proven to reduce suicides, decrease drug use, and promote overall well-being. By providing enhanced services such as 24/7 crisis care, medication-assisted treatment, and care coordination, CCBHCs address long-standing gaps in our behavioral health system. Their improved reimbursement model allows for expanded staffing and service capacity to meet the needs of our most vulnerable populations. Protecting and strengthening the CCBHC model is essential for creating healthier, more resilient communities across our state. I urge you to champion continued support for these life-changing clinics.
