How any single one of you could vote to yes on Blanche's nomination for Attorney General after his handling of the Epstein files blows my mind. Every Congress person has a mother, wife, sister, daughter, or some female in their life that they love and want to protect. This should feel personal and shock the conscience. This isn't about partisan politics. It is about a man who is so loyal to Trump that he is protecting abusers instead of the abused. We should all be against such a person being in a leadership position, much less at the highest levels of our government. The Department of Justice, under Tood Blanches directive, exposed the names and private details of nearly 100 Jeffrey Epstein survivors when releasing a portion of the redacted Epstein files. The DOJ published documents that failed to properly redact sensitive information, including survivors' full names, addresses, and private banking details, and nude pictures. Somehow the DOJ manages to release only a portion of the Epstein files, which were highly redacted, with no information that could be used to prosecute people in Epstein's circle, but they "accidentally " exposed survivors of Epstein's abuse. Survivors reported receiving threats and harassment after the release of the files with their information. Todd Blanch eventually released a statement apologizing, but never met with the survivors. Meanwhile, Todd Blanche met with Ghislaine Maxwell for 2 full days, six months before the release of the survivors' personal information. After Blanche met with her, Maxwell was moved from a maximum security prison, to a low security facility. Maxwell was unqualified to move to that facility because of her status as a sex offender. Blanche explained this move by saying he was "just concerned about her safety." Toddler Blanche has shown more concern for a woman who coerced and sexually abused children, than he has for the survivors of Maxwell and Epstein's abuse. Now his confirmation hearing to become Attorney General is underway and he is unable to get enough votes for confirmation without meeting Thom Tillis' demand that Blanche meet with Epstein survivors if he wants Tillis' vote. And so he met with the survivors. Here is part of what they had to say - Victims of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein blasted Todd Blanche after meeting with the acting attorney general at the Department of Justice. Those victims called Blanche condescending and evasive, saying he seemed motivated to talk to them face-to-face Thursday afternoon solely to get his nomination by President Donald Trump advanced by the Senate Judiciary Committee. "After meeting with Todd Blanche, I feel even more confident in urging senators to vote against his confirmation as the United States' Attorney General," Annie Farmer, one of those victims, said in a statement Thursday night. "I found him abrasive, condescending, and intentionally noncommittal to survivors — a marked contrast to his public testimony during his confirmation hearing," Farmer said. "While quick to point to the failures of previous administrations, he refused to take accountability for mistakes made under his own leadership." VOTE NO on Todd Blanche as Attorney General!
