We have been waiting patiently for the state to fund enrollment growth for community colleges. Community colleges train the first responders who have been so helpful during hurricane recovery. I know that the enrollment funding increase was included in a bill that also would give money for private school tuition. That bill was written before the hurricane and I think it's time to really rethink that potential expenditure. I'd love to see a standalone bill or measure to finally pass the community college enrollment growth funding. I work for a community colleg e and it's very hard to plan for our spring classes and services without having that funding.
