The king parties while the children and elderly suffer & starve. What a great story for the history books, eh? I have been a stay at home mom now for about 5 years and I have the job of meal planning and grocery shopping in our house. I have been very consistent in my meal planning & shopping habits for the past 5 years. I keep a record of our expenses on paper and our grocery bill is now doubled from what it was in January of 2025. It has been consistently going up since the current president started his second (illegal) term. This is not helping our cost of living or our quality of life. It doesn’t help the economy. 20 million children every month receive SNAP benefits in America. And he just says NO? But give billions of dollars to Argentina?? Flaunts his marble bathroom? Americans are not happy about this. To answer Rand Paul, so many Americans are on SNAP because they QUALIFY for it. I have never once seen someone getting help and wondered to myself if they deserve it. I have never had the thought that people do not deserve help. I have never given food to the food pantry and thought… whoever gets this food better deserve it. I give because people are in need and that’s all that matters. I myself have been in need before and it wasn’t because I wasn’t working. I worked two jobs and was pregnant and didn’t make enough money because most Americans aren’t getting paid enough to live & cost of living keeps rising. , when is the last time the minimum wage was raised?? There is no mandate for starving children and elderly, no mandate for marble bathrooms or golden ballrooms. No mandate for killing and terrorizing our neighbors of color. No mandate for being lied to. No mandate for the president to shred our constitution and do whatever he pleases. There is no mandate for him to just disregard his opposing party. You guys are supposed to be his guard rails why have you all decided to give up your power to him so he can destroy our country? I do remember Donald J Trump saying he would lower grocery prices on day one… do you remember that? I do. He said himself he won on groceries and I’m not even sure he knows what that word means. What are we going to do, we might have to start eating the cats and dogs and the pets of people??
