I’m writing for a couple of reasons: First, what are Senators Booker and Kim doing about our air travel crisis? Because the Trump administration’s rank incompetence is going to lead to catastrophe. Then Trump (https://substack.com/redirect/599cb2cc-2352-40ba-a6f5-445d9bfc60f8?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI)fired (https://substack.com/redirect/7046dcc8-2db5-4bc8-9cee-aa62a6bf13fa?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI) TSA’s leadership and dismantled the Aviation Security Advisory Committee. Then Trump offered (https://substack.com/redirect/83e51618-2b5d-4ba1-8fb2-27059943725f?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI) air traffic controllers buyouts even though we had a nationwide staffing shortage. And now Americans are terrified to fly. I am terrified to fly and must do so for work. PLEASE HELP! Congress needs to act. Also, I’m seeing increasingly alarming footage of ICE arrests around the country. Not to mention our own Mayor of Newark!! These officers wear masks, show no ID, are often brutal when conducting arrests, and seem accountable to no one. What the hell is happening in this country? Abusing immigrants doesn’t make us safer—it just makes us evil. We need hearings into ICE’s unlawful behavior. Will Senators Booker and Kim call for them?
