To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express concerns about the freeze on federal funding programs directed by the Trump administration. This impound on appropriations is against the law as they were all directed by Congress, and the executive has usurped the power of the legislative branch. You should be outraged and offended at this action just as the rest of Americans are. Besides the legal implications, this impound impacts the lives of everyday Americans. My parents worked hard their whole lives so they could retire and e njoy the benefits of the social programs there funded in 50+ years of paychecks. Without social security and Medicare, my parents will be homeless and without healthcare. Millions of Americans will be in the same position. How can you stand for this? Please push back on these actions. Congress has the authority to push back. Congress has the power of the purse. I'm deeply concerned with where we're going as a country in this new administration. We The People need our representatives to support us with integrity.
