His pride endangers us all. Pay the TSA

March 15

In the wake of 9/11, the United States department of homeland security implemented several security measures intended to keep our citizens safe. One of the most high profile measures was the implementation of the TSA. While we all know how annoying it can be to take off our shoes and belts and unpack our carry-ons when they’re flagged, I believe most Americans understand and accept that the presence of these officers is relatively imperative to surviving in a world fraught with terrorism and malice. TSA officers bear the brunt of so much anger and frustration. They work with a public that is harried and hurried and not in their best frame of mind. We’ve all seen them yelled at, annoyed, and joked about. But they keep us safe nonetheless. Trump’s decision to advise these hometown heroes to resume their positions in spite of not being paid to do so is incorrigible. Their positions put them at risk on multiple levels, and asking them to do so without compensation is immoral. Demand Trump pay the TSA. His attempts to make it seem like a democrat issue is ridiculous. If he’d follow the constitution, there would be any issues at all. His pride endangers us all. Pay the TSA.
