I urge you to champion the faithful implementation of Article II, Section 4 of the United States Constitution, which states:
“The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Recent events—including but not soley attributing — profiting on the office of the presidency — threatening to only benefit those cities and states that fully embrace the presidents ideology — the blatant disappearing not only of immigrants but of US citizens — the use of the military in violation of Congress to commit war crimes against Venezuela and elsewhere, domestically and abroad — weaponizing hunger against our nation's weakest members — prioritizing other countries over the promised America Fist agenda, i.e. the twenty billion dollar bail out of Argentina — destruction of the East Wing of the White House without any input or studies preceding. The theft of government property i.e. the Resolute Desk — the ongoing revelations with the Epstein file scandal. This list is by no means complete.
There is an urgent need for our elected officials to uphold this constitutional safeguard. When the mechanisms of impeachment are ignored or delayed, public trust in our democratic institutions erodes, and the principle that no one is above the law is jeopardized.
Why Senate action matters now
Constitutional duty – The Senate, together with the House, holds the sole authority to try impeachments. Prompt, impartial deliberation affirms the Constitution’s checks and balances.
Public confidence – Demonstrating a willingness to enforce Article II, §4 reassures citizens that accountability is real and not merely rhetorical.
Precedent for future governance – A decisive response sets a clear standard for future officeholders, discouraging misconduct before it becomes entrenched.
