Statements without consequence are just empty threats. ICE OUT!
To: Sen. Booker, Rep. Kean, Sen. Kim

March 26
In case you were wondering how ICE should be treated in New Jersey, I’d like to offer a statement from Pennsylvania that we expect our officials to aspire to:
"I will put you in handcuffs, and I will put you in a courtroom, and, if necessary, I will put you in a jail cell if you decide to make the terrazzo floor of this airport anything like what you did in the streets of Minneapolis, which involved the criminal homicide of unarmed, innocent people."
- Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner in his warning to ICE agents stationed in the Philadelphia International Airport
See? He said the words, and then he commanded his officers to comply.
YOU say the words and then go do whatever it is you do all day.
Statements without consequences are just empty threats. You need to do more than just say what we want to hear. You have to ACT on it, as well. Follow through is hard, but it’s literally in your job description, so maybe do it?
