When will we see action against ICE in NJ???
To: Gov. Sherrill

In Morristown, ICE agents are STILL sweeping people off the streets—detaining residents at laundromats and local businesses, taking an estimated 7–10 individuals in a single operation, including a high school student. These are not targeted actions against dangerous criminals; by your own local officials’ accounts, they are ordinary community members, and the result has been fear, economic disruption, and families torn apart. One man was removed as recently as yesterday.
You have taken steps to limit ICE access to state facilities—but clearly, it is not enough. While communities are terrorized in broad daylight, where is the escalation? Where is the line you refuse to let them cross?
At what point does inaction become endorsement?
New Jersey cannot claim to protect its residents while allowing federal agents to operate like this within its communities. If you do not act decisively to stop these raids or meaningfully challenge them, you are not standing between your constituents and harm—you are allowing it to continue.
