congress As a 30 year IT professional I can tell you that this is catastrophic from the perspective of a security engineer. We rely so heavily on this organization’s reporting to keep systems secure that I truly do not know what we’re going to do without it. This is how we keep abreast of security holes in software and networking. What I CAN tell you is that infrastructure will slowly fail and it will affect data privacy and system integrity across the board. It will affect you. I will affect me. Everyone. Please do you what you can to keep funding for the CVE program at MITRE!
