I received your response to my email about DOGE and found it entirely disingenuous. You stated “I understand your concerns, and I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should any legislative action concerning DOGE be brought to the House floor for a vote.” And of course that’s exactly what YOU should be doing. Playing dumb about your constitutional authority to do just that is beneath the office you hold. Your party gerrymandered me into your ridiculous district to eliminate my and tens of thousands of other democrats representation. But you only won by 6 points Mike. Do you think the third of Columbus you now represent will not hold you accountable in your next election? Or are you planning on there not being any more fair elections to worry about? DOGE is an unconstitutional power grab by a guy who ran on being a dictator. Apparently you support that? I know far more conservatives than I do progressives. I swim in an ocean of Republicans. All your sanctimonious b.s. about being Patriots and Constitutional originalists has been exposed repeatedly during the Trump era. You’ve shown yourselves to be “originalists” only in the white supremacist, theocratic, oligarchic sense. You have never stood up for the Constitution. And your letter confirms what I already suspected. You never will.
