The statement that the governor made saying redistricting democrats out of their seats aligns with Missouri values is patently false, unless you consider cheating to get your way a Missouri value, which I certainly do not. I would bet the voters of Missouri would agree, especially once their benefits and hospital access dry up thanks to Trump’s BBB. This state legislature has gone out of its way time and time again to ignore, override, or just throw out the will of the voters of this state. Whether it be closing puppy mills, no right to work, women’s rights to an abortion, or fair pay/sick leave, our voices are being drowned out by a legislative body which convinces itself the will of the people is secondary to their own opinion, and they have the right to ignore our state constitution. I would also like to remind you that it wasn’t very long ago that this state was purple, with a Democratic governor and other high state offices. Do not continue to take the will of the people for granted, or you all might find yourselves, deservedly, out of your jobs. PLEASE DO NOT CODIFY CHEATING FOR AN UNPOPULAR PRESIDENT BY REDRAWING OUR ELECTORAL MAP MID-SCHEDULE.
