Co-sponsor the Abolish Super PACs Act, introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Summer Lee. This bill would cap individual contributions to super PACs at $5,000 — effectively ending the era of unlimited corporate and billionaire money flooding our elections. We are sick of it, and this is the fix. The numbers are staggering. During the 2021-2022 cycle alone, roughly 2,500 super PACs took in over $5 billion and spent nearly $2.7 billion to influence elections. That money buys access and outcomes. Rep. Lee is right that campaign finance is the foundational issue — nothing meaningful gets done on healthcare, climate, or gun violence as long as wealthy donors can spend without limit to protect their interests.
