I am disgusted by DHS: the lies, the horrific actions and killings by Ice and border patrol, the cruelty. As you negotiate funding for DHS, a new bill must, at minimum: *Ensure there is not one penny more for ICE or CBP (their budget is already obscenely bloated after the big “beautiful”(🫩) bill) *Pull ICE and Border Patrol out of Minneapolis and the rest of our communities (they are terrorizing communities, committing violence, wreaking havoc, and killing American citizens) *Prevent ICE or Border Patrol enforcement at designated ‘sensitive locations’ such as houses of worship, day cares, and hospitals (masked, armed, violent paramilitary don’t belong anywhere near places of healing, learning and faith) *Restrict ICE and Border Patrol’s ability to target people based on their race, language or accent, place of employment, or location at the time of the apprehension (racism is wrong and counter to the ideals of America) *End the administration’s unlawful practice of warrantless home entry and arrests (and PS- they must be help accountable for these practices which are blatantly illegal!) Do the right thing!!! History will judge your harshly for your actions/inaction is this moment.
