I am a constituent and I feel it is important that Oregon protect its residents by requiring that law enforcement properly identify themselves, and disallow use of masks to conceal the identity of officers. The tragic murder of lawmakers in Minnesota by an individual pretending to be a police officer emphasizes the need for law enforcement to adequately identify themselves. Likewise, we can not have Immigration Customs Enforcement or other officers concealing their identities. This sets up a dynamic that might allow bad actors to impersonate law enforcement officials in order to abduct people. Please see CA SB627 as an example https://legiscan.com/CA/text/SB627/id/3256182.
